Complainant :-Ambalal Nathajibhai Patel Demat A/c #10028585 DP ID 300126 Hdfc bank
In some of the Indian public offering of shares during 1980 and onwards, to get more shares allotment family and relatives names were used in different combinations. I used Janak name as third joint holder. The money was mine. When demat became compulsory,
I opened the demat a/c in around 2002 as a main holder myself Ambalal N Patel, 2nd. Holder my wife Minaben Ambalal Patel and third Janak Patel, as some shares were allotted in the above name order.
We already had the savings account with HDFC bank with the main holder Ambalal
Patel, second holder Minaben Patel, and third holder Samir Patel. The above Demat account where Janak patel was third joint holder was linked to this bank savings account where Janak Patel was not at all joint holder.
The above savings bank a/c was also linked to demat a/cs:-
- one demat A/c with holders -Main holder Ambalal Patel, joint holder Samir Ambalal Patel and 3rd.holder Minaben Patel and
- second linked Demat a/c is main holder Ambalal Patel and joint holder Minaben Patel
- Third linked demat a/c is main holder Ambalal Patel, joint holder Minaben Patel and third holder Janak Amubhai Patel.
All buy orders placed from other two demat a/cs ie. From no. one and second were credited by the bank to demat a/c Third where as he never inquired or cared about our existence while in USA or India .
Janak was sent by me to USA in 1989.He never operated the a/c or never put the money in the above account. He had not served, or earned in India. The a/c was operated by me from my earnings. He has not contributed any money for the shares/investment in this demat account.The name in the a/c is Janak Amubhai Patel. His passport and his data on Internet shows his name as Janakbhai Ambalal Patel
His lawyer Mr. Dilip Shah sent an e-mail to NSDL and on that basis the bank has delinked this demat a/c. WITHOUT main holders hearing, permission or consent.You have blocked the account so We cannot use our hard earned money in our old age for medical treatment or for a peaceful living.

-Are you Awed by NRI status of the claimant? And act hastily in irrational way!!!
-You never cared to check, the name in the account holding which is Janak Amubhai and the claimant name in his passport and on internet is Janakbhai Ambalal Patel.
-NSDL as a controlling authority should look minutely in the case and as a main holder, I have full right to ask the bank and NSDL to provide me the valid reason for your action to delink the said demat account.
--HDFC bank who is checking everything word by word has also not cared to do this in this case.
-In normal course of justice, decision is taken after hearing all parties concerned or at least first holder but your unilateral action, not justified or tenable
-Ambalal Patel is the oldest, premier and senior client 83+year old of HDFC bank. Bank has kept Relations staff who are in contact with me, are also not referred to check my credibility or opinion. Bank has also acted recklessly.
-In his last letter the claimant asked for change of signature, pl. DO NOT entertain the request as he has no right on this account
-The bank has credited wrongly to this demat a/c #10028585, all buys placed in from other two linked demat accounts also and purchase money was withdrawn from my linked bank account where Janak is not at all joint holder.
Request to NSDL and HDFC bank:-
-To relink the demat account to the bank account immediately like you did to delink.
-HDFC bank to credit all purchases done from other two linked demat accounts to the respective accounts and shares all credited by slips to the two demat accounts. I would like to keep in the shares only credited first day on the date of opening the demat account no. 10028585 or All holdings in this account be transferred to the demat A/c where Ambalal Patel and Minaben are holders who are the rightful owners as their earnings is used in the investment.
-Not to make any change in signature , registered address, E-mail address, name spelling change in demat a/cs and bank accounts where Ambalal Nathajibhai Patel and Minaben Ambalal Patel are the first or prime holders.
-We urge NSDL and Hdfc bank to help us who are at the fag end of their life and are
mercilessly tortured by his own son by hiring lawyers in India and raising
issues legally not tenable but hindering us to use our hard earned money.
- Please act fast and inform me of relinking the demat account .

Dear Sirs,
I am very sorry to say You have neither acknowledged or RELINKED my demat a/c.Please understand in short the bank a/c is in my name.NO where the claimant is in the bank a/c.Also I am the main holder in Demat a/c#10028585. You have credited all buys to this a/c debiting my savings A/irrespective of the orders placed from other demat A/cs.No money is from claimant.Mere E-mail from some lawyer makes you to delink my a/c without disclosing identity/ authenticity of the lawyer or contents of the E-mail.Your one sided , malafied intent has not only deprived me of using my hard earned money in medical treatment of me and my wife and now you are depreciating my assets in falling market by not allowing us to sell. PLease take note that you will personally and Hdfc bank will be responsible for all damages including my and my wife's life . Note that now I give authority to my successor Samir ambalal patel and his wife Yera patel who will claim all the damages/penalty/USA lawyer fees if any of us die before you RELINK my above refered demat a/c.
