Dear Sir/Madam,
With reference to Standard Chartered Bank(SCB) statement of Date 25th Novemeber, 2012 had received the following outstandings
Description Total Amount Due Minimum Payment Due
xxxx - xxxx - xxxx - 1506 Gold Reward Card Rs 11,338.00 556.00
4940 7680 2101 9069 Sp. Merchandising Offer Rs 4,763.42 250.00
9356 5008 0523 1149 Instabuy Account Rs 7,601.46 7,601.46
Accordingly I made the payment by cheque No. 249577(Vijaya Bank) dated 17.12.2012 for the amount Rs 19,500.00.
The same got cleared from my bank on 21.12.2012.
As had written one cheque I wrote the breakup of the payment behind of the cheque as mentioned under. This is as told by SCB customer
service officer.
Description Amount Paid
xxxx - xxxx - xxxx - 1506 Gold Reward Card Rs 11,338.00
4940 7680 2101 9069 Sp. Merchandising Offer Rs 560.00
9356 5008 0523 1149 Instabuy Account Rs 7,602.00
But surprisingly SCB accounted for the payment only in the 27th January, 2013 payment as below and that too as per their requirement wherein
I have a new outstanding in xxxx - xxxx - xxxx - 1506 Gold Reward Card which should have been NIL. Had made complaints to thier customer service department via mails on 4th March, 2013 but did not get proper response. I have been explaining them the wrong charges but they are saying that I
have to pay as per their statements. This is a new way of earning more interest by charging wrong and late payments.
Even though have been making regular payments to SCB till date. But now I am left at their mercy, even though I am right they are not willing to listen but harrassing me with with SMS and phone calls.
Please can you look into it and if required am willing to go to the consumer court. Also advise how to inform RBI and other offices who can really look into it.
Regards
Prashant Narwankar
PS : Had recieved call from SCB customer care asking me to pay the outstanding as complaining to Consumer Court would not help. They will not
do anything. To keep getting calls where I found that chasing for justice was futile have made the payment.
