Airtel Postpaid Bill Grievance

Hello,


Myself, Mr. Amar Narayan R hoping for a resolution against Airtel Billing as the customer care executives are not able to understand the issue and give a proper solution. The executives are unable to give a proper justification why i have been charged rs 4862.58 for the month of june.


To brief you about the issue, I had an internet plan of 150 rs in which I get 500 MB 3G plus 500 MB 2G data and the billing cycle is from 20th to 19th of every month. I finished off all the data by 11th of June. One of the Airtel customer care executive (+91 4443930500) called me on 12th of june at 3.33 PM and told me that i can go for 2GB of 2G data @ 199rs per month. She also explained that whatever extra usage which i have done will be adjusted with the new plan. I told her to go ahead and activate the plan. I was skeptical about the pro rata charges for the previous data plan. So i called the customer care (121) on the same day at 7.53 PM and confirmed with the customer care executive that i wont be charged on the pro rata basis. Now after 10 days, when i got the bill, i was charged for rs 4883 rs. So i called the customer care on 27th of june and lodged a complaint.

1) The executive assured me that they will update me on the complaint but there was no response from Airtel till 2nd of July.
2) Called up the customer care again on 2nd july to know about the status of my complaint. The executive informed me that the chargers are valid and they closed the complaint without even giving justifications. They dint have a courtesy to inform me about the same. I told to transfer the call to the manager to escalate the issue. I spoke to the manager and he assured me that they will be able to resolve the issue in next 2 days and a SR number was given to me. SR number(56961979)
3.Here goes the fall promise again. Even after four days there was no update on the issue. On July 7th called up customer care and I came to know from the manager that even this SR was closed and the same explanation was given to me telling the charges are valid. The manager informed me that i can take this up with Nodal officer and he hung the call.
4. I contacted the Nodal officer(Asha) explained her the issue and she agreed that the Airtel has goofed up the Bill amount and she will get this rectified in 48 working hours.
5. Asha contacted me on 11th July and now she denied her previous stand and told me that the charges are valid. So i asked her to forward the call to the higher authority. She hung up the call telling manager will contact me.
5. I got a call from the billing manager (john) where he inturn asked me to justify why i am asking for the explanation of the bill charges. I explained him the issue from beginning. He made a serious allegations telling i did not confirm about the up gradation plan and i did not place any call on 12th of June for which i have a proof in my bill statement. He told me that as a goodwill gesture they will give me a discount of 600 rs against 4000 Rs Bill!!! Phewww!!! I was told that there is no higher executive after him when i asked to transfer the call and he hinted me to get this settle in a court.




I am with Airtel from past 8 years. So as the goodwill gesture can I expect some resolutions from you failing which il be ending my long term relationship
with AIRTEL!!!!
