There has been a network outage in Karvenagar, Pune, Maharashtra- 411052 since 18th July 2014.
Today is 27th July 2014. Still no resolution to the problem
The problem is specific to a single location. I personally know about 10 airtel users living in the same locality who are affected by this.
Status of all the numbers:
1.)Full Range
2.)Incoming/Outgoing SMS Active
3.) Incoming/Outgoing Calls Inactive
Troubleshooting steps performed:
1.) Checked sim cards in multiple handsets ( Samsung Galaxy S Plus i9001/ Samsung GT 5310/ Nokia/ Sony Ericsson)
2.) Sim cards and phones taken to airtel relationship center-they confirmed there was a tower issue and the entire area was affected, they had received numerous complaints regarding the same and had advised to contact customer support at 9090098900 & 9890012345 & 198
3.) After performing these steps, the customer care reps. Still insisted that it was a handset issue because the range was full, again advising us to visit the airtel relationship center.
Calls & Mails to the customer support team & the nodal officer have been futile. The customer care reps are of no help. They are following the same script and we are running pillar to post to get our connection working.
The network team seems least bothered to even believe that such an issue can exist at airtel, and are blaming our handsets for the problem even after following their troubleshooting procedure.
The Airtel team is not aware of the status or any resolution time/date. Today is the 9th Day we are without a cellular connection. The Airtel team seems least bothered about it.
As per TRAI, This amounts to deficiency of service & failure to address consumer complaints.
