I have had a You Broadband cable connection, with an annual plan which promised to deliver a consistent bandwidth of 12Mbps (Hurricane You plan).
For the past couple of weeks, we have been noticing a bandwidth throttling issue in the evenings, where the speed goes down to around 0.5 to 1 Mbps, EVERY DAY, till well past midnight. The speed in the mornings is good, but every evening, we face this issue of terrible speeds.
Multiple calls to the Customer Service have been to no avail, and we still are not getting any answers from the technical support people, and their promises of looking into the matter have been empty promises.
Every call to the complaints section is met with the standard profuse apology with the earnest promise of grievance redressal, with no actual action being taken.
This bandwidth throttling poses a clear violation of the monetary agreement between the ISP and the consumer, and indicates terrible service from You Broadband.
