My name is MD Arif, mobile# 9831983614. This is regarding a recent Redmi 3s Prime mobile bought from Flipkart on 25th Jan'17 for Rs 8,999.00, order# OD508218107316324000. I received the product on 30th Jan'17. When I switched on the mobile I felt that the mobile is hanging and not working properly. I called Flipkart the next morning and asked to exchange the product as it is not functioning well. The customer executive has initiated a exchange but informed that a technician will visit first and will inspect the product, if it is not damaged and is not working fine then only I will get the exchange. Today 2/2/2017, the technician came for inspection and informed that it is happening because of the sensor which was not "on". I did not understand how screen touch will not work if the sensor is not on. Fine, then he took off the screen protector and then done a factory reset. After sometimes he then checked that the mobile is working now. I said what if the mobile does work properly again then he said he is there not to worry and to contact Flipkart and then he went off. After 1 hour my mobile again started to hang and then I called Flipkart again. This time I was surprise by the customer executive that since they have arranged the technician once and the product was working fine then now they will not process exchange.
My question was simple:
1. Is the 10 days replacement policy is over if only technician visits within 3 days of the delivery and the issue is not resolved?
2. Why Flipkart exchange the product if the customer is facing the same issue?
3. Why customer needs to visit service center if the product bought is within 10 days of replacement policy?
4. What if the technician asks for bribe to exchange the product and Flipkart is unaware of it?
5. Why Flipkart is showing television ads openly about 10 days return policy where there is terms and condition applicable and is not mentioned while showing the TV ads?
Please request Flipkart to exchange my product as the product is new, not damaged and is within 10 days replacement policy. I am not asking for refund but only exchange so that I can enjoy my hard earned money. Also please suggest Flipkart not to advise customers to visit service center within the exchange/return policy period as it is their responsibility to solve the issue as per the Ads they air the show in TV.
