Dear Concern,
This is to bring your kind notice the cheating feature of Vodafone, I have requested the 44 RV scheme in which user will get the benefit of 50 p/min in home network and 70 incoming and outgoing while roaming. I have request this on 17th April and within 5 min I got the message that it has been activated. But it was not activated.
I called Vodafone customer care number, after waiting for a long time, first they will start in Telugu and then we tell them that I dont know telugu then they will speak in pathetic English. Hindi they don't know.Call to customer care number is charged at 50 paisa per 3 min. They told that it will be activated in another 48 hours.
I called them 3 times and I got the same response but it was never activated.
Than I asked them to transfer the call to supervisor, after keeping on hold at least for 10 min they hanged up the phone, without answering and this has happened 3 to 4 times.
Luckily one time I got a chance to speak with their supervisor and he has also used the same words and he also committed the same thing. But all has gone in vain.
It is not about money at all. It is just a 44 Rupees matter. For that I think I have already called their customer care number and lost more than 20 Rs. But here I want to bring notice the way Vodafone treat their customer.
I am looking for another operator and soon I will shift to another operator and also I will make sure that people I know also don't use Vodafone service at all. Because their customer service is pathetic. Their agent and also supervisors don't know anything about the services and company offering. They don't have knowledge at all about their products. They don't know how and when issue can be resolved, they will always give false commitment. Even their supervisors are same.
The idea to activate this scheme was that I have planned to visit cities out of AP for some official purpose, so I can get the benefit of 70 Paisa incoming.
If in the light of these forum I am sharing the experience with vodafone so that other people will also get alert. If consumer forum can help me on this issue with Vodafone it will be great or else my effort is just make sure people who are using Vodafone as their mobile operator must think on it seriously.
