I purchased a Postal Life Insurance Policy on 31/03/1992 and policy no is MH/52720-CS. The said PLI policy was matured on 09/04/2014. I submitted all documents in original to The Post Master Lonavala Dist Pune 410 401 on 07/03/2014 for verification and disbursement. I made frequent inquires with Lonavala Post Office, M F L ( Supt. Post Offices Divisional Office ) swargate Pune 42,and Post Master General (Regional Office ) Pune 01 regarding payment of PLI Maturity. But I got a one line reply that "matter will be settled in next eight days."
Sir, on 26/06/2014 I wrote a letter to Post Master Lonavala , M F L office Pune and Post master General Pune inquiring about the reasons for delay in payment PLI maturity benefits. On 30/06/2014 I got a reply from M F L office Pune stating that they forwarded my documents to Post Master General Pune 01 on 02/06/2014. Once again on 07/07/2014 I wrote a letter to all above said post offices and to Chief Post Master General, Maharashtra Circle Mumbai 01 seeking clarifications on 15 points for delay in payment of PLI maturity benefits under the provisions of Right To Information Act 2005. I got a reply from Post Office Lonavala stating that they reminder to M F L office Pune . Till to date I could not PLI maturity benefits from the concerned Post Office. I failed to understand why Post Office is adopting such indifferent irresponsible negative attitude towards the investors. I am thinking of filing a suit against Post Office Lonavala under the provisions of The Consumer Protection Act 1986 and to resort to hunger strike in front Post Office Lonavala.
